Meet Our Team

Charlie Burton is the 5th Generation owner of the i.g. Burton Auto Group. A Graduate of Roanoke College, Charlie initially did not work in the family business. He pursued a career in the automotive finance and insurance business working for Ryan Associates for several years. One day in the 90s, Charlie got a call asking him to come back and run the family business. Since then, he has taken ownership and expanded the company to what it is today. He is most proud of the growth of his employees. "It's a great feeling knowing you give your employees the opportunities to develop and grow and be successful."

MJ Lofland has been with the i.g. Burton auto group since 1995. He is the first person in company history to hold co-ownership of an i.g. Burton dealership since the company's establishment in 1908. In 2021, he joined Charlie Burton - President of i.g. Burton Auto Group - in purchasing i.g. Burton of Newark. Over the years has been the Director of First Impressions, Sales Professional, Salesperson, Sales Manager, and General Manager. In 2007 he was promoted to the Operations Management Team as Director of Sales. Today, MJ is the Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of i.g. Burton Auto Group. In his spare time, MJ enjoys hunting and spending time with his family.

Lisa started her automotive career in 1999 working at a private repair shop where she wore many hats, including: receptionist, car washer, parts person and customer service representative. It was there where her love for the automotive business began. After a few years, she applied for a job at a local dealership and started as the Service Receptionist before becoming a Service Advisor, and then Service Manager. Her love for all-things outdoors eventually drew her to the Delaware beach area. In 2008 she joined i.g. Burton as the BMW Service Manager. After working at i.g. Burton BMW for over a decade, she earned the opportunity to be part of the i.g. Burton Auto Group Executive Management team. When away from the dealership, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing with their two dogs, traveling, camping, and paddleboarding.

Bernadette Jasmine joined the Executive Management Team of i.g. Burton Auto Group in July 2019. She is currently the acting HR Director. Bernadette has over ten years of experience in the automotive industry previously working for General Motors as a District Manager. Prior to the automotive business, she worked for a town government and ran a daycare center. Bernadette enjoys family time on the beach, fishing, and kayaking.

Mary Jane has extensive automotive experience and is a graduate of The National Dealers Academy. She has had many years of ongoing manufacturer training. Mary Jane is proud to say that her goals - both personally and professionally - are to make a positive difference in the lives of her family, friends, co-workers, and customers. She was raised to believe you can achieve your goals as long as you are willing to put in the work and maintain a positive attitude. The two core values she lives by are honesty and integrity. In her personal life, family is and always will be her "why" in life. She loves spending time with them and her best friend, Gemma - their black Labrador Retriever that was titled at the National Master Hunt Test in Oklahoma.

Caleb started with i.g. Burton Auto Group in 2007. Since then, he has held several positions, including Service Porter, Parts Advisor, Parts Manager, and Import Parts Director. He feels that i.g. Burton is a great company to work for because it has helped him grow his love for the automotive industry. Caleb is now Parts Director for all i.g. Burton Auto Group locations. In his time away from work, he likes visiting Delaware beaches with friends and family, touring local breweries, and spending time with his dog.

Sara has been a valued member of i.g. Burton Auto Group since 2025, where she brings passion and energy to community engagement and business promotion. With a professional background in marketing, promotions, and sales, Sara thrives on connecting people and organizations in meaningful ways. As a former director of a nonprofit, she understands the importance of giving back and the impact of aligning businesses with like-minded partners to achieve shared goals. Her experience allows her to create opportunities that not only support growth but also strengthen the communities the dealerships serve. A proud Delaware native with roots going back over five generations, Sara is deeply committed to her local community. She is dedicated to helping foster growth and connection across all i.g. Burton Auto Group dealership communities.

Dylan started with i.g. Burton in 2015 when he was a student at Salisbury University, but he has been around the business his whole life. He was born and raised in Lancaster, PA. He enjoys saltwater fishing, classic muscle cars, and spending time with friends. He loves his job at i.g. Burton and strives to do things right the first time for every customer.

With over 12 years of experience in the automotive industry, Dominique Maier brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for helping customers find the perfect vehicle. As the Sales Manager at i.g. Burton, he leads a dedicated team of sales professionals, ensuring a seamless and customer-focused experience from start to finish.

Fallon has a bachelor’s degree in business management from Wilmington University. She has been in the automotive industry since 2015 and has proudly been a part of the i.g. Burton family since 2021. In her spare time, Fallon values spending quality time with her family, actively helps her community, and loves to swim at the beach.

Ben has been an employee of i.g. Burton for over 12 years. He takes pride in his work and goes the extra mile to ensure each of his customers leave completely satisfied. Ben is the proud father of two beautiful girls and is blessed to be married to the love of his life. While not at work, Ben enjoys spending time with family, hunting, fishing, softball and serving in his church.

Chris feels fortunate to have a career in the auto industry for over 40 years now. He has been helping clients find their dream vehicles at i.g. Burton since 2020. Being able to assist clients with one of the most important purchases that they will make is what drives him to keep working hard daily. I've worked for i.g. Burton since May 2019 and was a customer before that. Having worked in the plastics industry for 20 years, I decided it was time for a change of scenery, so I began my career with the i.g. Burton group. I love spending time with my family and three grandsons. I love being outdoors, either kayaking or taking the boat out fishing with my Husband of 20 years.
